Provence-Drôme-Ardèche

Lavender

The Provence, Drôme and Ardeche regions of Southern France stretch across a vast area of captivating beauty. The area stretches from just south of Lyon, towards Gap in the east and west across the mountains of the Ardeche river. Provence crosses a vast region from Orange and Avignon in the north to the azure waters of the Mediterranean in the south.

The name "Provence" conjures images which are famous worldwide - Lavender fields, lush vineyards of the Côtes de Provence, craggy hillsides, oak and pine covered forests, lakes and gorges; all interspersed with Medieval hilltop villages dating back to Roman times.

It's an area rich in history, culture and beauty and a perfect haven for holidays with activities to meet every taste.

Of course, taste is very much part of Provence, such as the freshly grown local produce, rich in goodness, flavour and quality. Whether you buy it at the local market or are presented with a beautiful dish of food in a restaurant, the scents and flavours of Provençal cooking are unmistakable.

The villages and scenery will offer you a myriad of colours, scents and memories. Explore the region from the Luberon Hills, Mont Ventoux, across to St Rémy-de-Provence, Uzès or south towards Aix-en-Provence and the Hyères and the Bandol-Cassis coastline.
