Easter is later this year, in mid April. What a great time to take an early break in warm Mediterranean temperatures. The South of France is at its best in Spring time. With pink blossom, bright yellow daffodils and cheerful and lively song birds from every direction.
Why not take advantage of this natural beauty and explore the region while it is still relatively calm?
An early season break during the Easter holidays or May half term and take advantage of the plentiful activities in the area. Our properties across the Cote d’Azur and Provence offer you the ideal setting to enjoy everything the area has to offer for you, your family and friends.
A visit to one or two of the numerous vineyards and enjoy a tasting of the fresh Rosé wines or the Provençal Reds. For the younger members of your group, it’s not too early for the beach, but the sea may be a little chilly! Take a Ferry trip from St Raphael to St Tropez and visit this lovely resort without the summer crowds.
Enjoy the cities of Cannes or Nice, visit the museums and galleries. Visit the perched villages of Tourrettes sur Loup, St Paul de Vence or Eze Village. All should be on your visit list and so much easier to enjoy in a quieter time of year. Take a drive into Monaco and around the Grand Prix circuit – while you can! It won’t it be long before the Monte Carlo Grand Prix on May 28th 2017
A holiday in the South of France would not be the same without a visit to the local markets which will be full of flavours, scents and colour. If you think your local Farmers markets are good – you wait until you see the local French ones! Buy some local produce and cook up a delight for your family and friends.
It is more than likely you will get the opportunity to enjoy a barbecue at your own private villa and enjoy the warm, comfortable Spring sunshine.
Some of our villas with heated pools are still available and it could be possible to book many of them from mid-week and 5 nights minimum stay. However, please remember if the night is still chilly the pool temperatures may not rise sufficiently to swim. Please ask the owner for more information.
